About this pet
The Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) is the classic beginner dwarf shrimp, bright red and very hardy. It helps keep the tank clean by grazing on biofilm, algae and leftover food.

Good for: shrimp tanks, nano tanks and peaceful planted tanks
With a betta: it depends on the betta. Some bettas ignore shrimp, others chase and eat them, especially the small ones. Give the shrimp lots of plants and moss to hide in, add them before the betta if you can, and watch the first few days. A bigger, well-planted tank gives better chances.
