Yellow Golden Back Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi)

The Yellow Golden Back Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi var. 'Yellow Golden Back') is a bright yellow dwarf shrimp with a golden stripe along its back. It is peaceful and helps keep the tank clean by grazing on biofilm and algae.

With a betta: it depends on the betta. Some bettas ignore shrimp, others chase and eat them, especially the small ones. Give the shrimp lots of plants and moss to hide in, add them before the betta if you can, and watch the first few days. A bigger, well-planted tank gives better chances.
