How to handle your betta
  1. Prepare the tank first. Fill it with water that has anti-chlorine added.
  2. Float the closed bag in the tank for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Gently net the fish in. Don't pour in the bag water.
  4. No food on the first day.
  • One betta per tank. Two males will fight.
  • Use a lid with a small air gap. Bettas can jump.
  • Never use soap on the tank or decor. Rinse with plain water.

  • Water changes: under 10 L with no filter, change half every 3 days. 10 L or more with a filter, change a quarter weekly.
  • Remove leftover food after 5 minutes, and skip feeding 1 day a week. Overfeeding is the most common reason bettas get sick.
  • Keep the tank indoors, away from aircon, fans, windows and direct sun.
  • Message us right away if it stops eating for 2 days, lies at the bottom, or shows white spots or torn fins.
